The color is as shown the advertisement photos. More purple than the gray in my photos. The fit of the fitted sheet is very loose. We do have a mattress protector on but no additional coverings on the mattress. The pillow cases could use and extra inch of fabric to cover the pocket. We do have fluffy pillows but they are not over stuffed by any means. The sheets are soft and thick, not see through at all. The material has not balled after multiple washings and over a month of being slept on. While I do think they good quality and this set works for my littles room, I would not put it in a guest room or the master simply because of

If you’re looking for good quality , long lasting well made sheets these are it.
They are wrinkle resistant and breathable
However if you’re looking for soft, comfort, silky sheets this is not it.
They are 100% cotton with some rigorous feel to them which I’m sure the thread count have a lot to do with
Value is also on the high side

My son really loves these sheets. He has a deep mattress with a thick quilted protector and these still stretch well over all of it. They are soft and very comfortable, he is really happy with them.
